CBDSA Mission Statement
Based in beautiful Corpus Christi, Texas...
We intend to provide support to all whose lives are affected by Down syndrome,
educate the community about Down Syndrome but most of all promote inclusion
and have fun with our children.
Through the dissemination of information within the community and education we
strive to make her life and the lives of other children with Down syndrome richer.

Down Syndrome (also called Down's Syndrome in the UK and
elsewhere) encompasses a number of genetic disorders, of which
trisomy 21 (a nondisjuction) is the most representative, causing highly
variable degrees of learning difficulties as well as physical disabilities.
It is named for John Langdon-Down, the British doctor who first
described it, in the late 19th century.
